Aging and Long Term Care: Mandatory BBS requirement, one time training for licensed MFT/LCSW’s.
Increase your knowledge of the developmental changes in Seniors.
Learn specific interventions for biological, social and psychological challenges elders face.
Identify how you can provide a specialty to serve the growing Senior population.
Identify the substance abuse issues and sucidality among Seniors; Diagnosis, treatment, and referrals for multidisciplinary care.
Identify ways in which Senior’s are abused in families, organizations, institutional care—filing reports.
Post Partum Depression:
This is a most important course for all therapists! Learn the unique signs and symptoms of PPD, hone your assessment skills necessary to understand perinatal mood disorders, learn treatment skills to treat your clients with PPD, and discover the community resources/referrals for this population. This course is a must for today's clients.
Creating a Resilient Therapist:
Learn about Burnout, Vicarious Traumatization and Compassion Fatigue in an interactive seminar. Participants will engage to promote creativity and energy building. Discover the Signs and Symptoms of Burnout and how to best manage stress in high stress environments. Just a vacation isn't enough to re-charge your energy in Mental Health workplaces.
Suicide Prevention:
Learn about 5150’s, who is an LPS? , Help from the local police departments.
Diagnosis, Treatment, and Support for your clients—discover local resources.
Empower your therapist self—debriefing for you if a client commits suicide. This course may qualify for RISK MANAGEMENT for some Malpractice Insurance Companies.
Case Management Film Discussion:
Sit back and watch a movie, jot down your thoughts and discuss with peers and a panel of therapists how Family Therapy would have helped the individuals in this family. We can find many unique ways to celebrate our profession. |
